Dave founded Green Heart in 2022 after a 10-year career in legal practice, where he spent 7.5 years as a qualified Solicitor in medical negligence law. His background in law taught him the profound importance of reliability, integrity, and genuinely putting people first - principles that now guide every aspect of Green Heart's work.

Dave's love of gardening began after buying his first house as a Trainee Solicitor, a passion he inherited from his grandfather. He quickly developed expertise in fruit tree pruning and plant propagation, and has since built a deep knowledge of garden design and sustainable horticultural practice.

Simon brings twenty plus years of experience in arboriculture to every project. His deep understanding of tree care, structure, and management is invaluable, and he has a particular passion for wildlife gardening and gardens that support biodiversity.

Beyond his arboriculture specialisation, Simon is also a skilled and knowledgeable Horticulturist with particular expertise in caring for herbaceous perennials and mixed borders. His ability to maintain complex planting schemes ensures that clients receive not just expert care, but truly beautiful gardens that evolve and mature over time.

Jess is an RHS-qualified professional horticulturist with extensive experience working in plant nurseries, bringing a wealth of ornamental horticulture expertise to the team. Her specialisms include spring shrub pruning and rose pruning - areas where precision, knowledge, and skill make all the difference.

Her nursery background means Jess has deep knowledge of plant selection, establishment, and care. She understands how plants perform in different conditions and brings that expertise to every consultation and maintenance visit. Her meticulous approach to pruning and her eye for plant health ensure that every garden she works on thrives.

Karolina joined Green Heart as a Trainee and has developed into a highly skilled Horticulturist with specialist expertise in edible gardening and Permaculture design. Her qualifications in Permaculture design, combined with her hands-on experience working alongside the team, have made her our go-to expert for fruit and vegetable growing.

Since joining the team, Karolina has not only developed her own skills and expertise, but has also helped elevate the whole team's knowledge of edible horticulture and sustainable growing practices. Beyond her work with Green Heart, Karolina brings her values of environmental consciousness to her own zero-waste, natural skincare brand, Karolina Naturals.

Calum's journey with Green Heart began as a work experience student, where he quickly impressed with his dedication and enthusiasm. His potential was evident from the start, and he soon became Dave's right-hand man on projects and visits.

Recognising his talent and commitment, Dave offered Calum an apprenticeship to begin once he finished school. In his first term at Reaseheath College, Calum was awarded Apprentice of the Term - a testament to his dedication to learning and professional development. He has since been a finalist in the Lantra Learner of the Year awards, further demonstrating his commitment to excellence in horticulture.

Eve joined Green Heart to lead our client care and operational support, bringing with her a wealth of experience in delivering exceptional client experiences and developing the systems and processes that allow a professional service business to operate at its best.

As the first point of contact for all Green Heart clients, Eve plays a central role in ensuring that every interaction - from initial enquiry through to ongoing care - reflects the Gold Standard we hold ourselves to. Her background in streamlining business operations means she brings both warmth and rigour to her role: clients receive a responsive, professional, and genuinely attentive service, underpinned by the processes and systems that make consistent excellence possible.
